This
wild Chevy is a street legal 7/8 scale 1957 Chevy using a Pro Mod Body.
It has a chrome moly tube frame built to NHRA Pro Stock specs. It weighs
approximately 2,500 pounds. The motor is 632 cubic inch's with digital
fuel injection. The car has air conditioning, electric windows, tilt wheel,
and stereo. It is the only known street legal 7/8 scale 2 door hard top
1957 Chevy in the World and is driven regularly. Every detail was carefully
constructed by Takash Race Craft located in Winter Park, FL. It took a
graphic artist two (2) weeks to airbrush the chrome on the car (It is
paint, not chrome). The rear tires are approved DOT tires at 22.5"
wide.
The
car has been featured in the April 2006 edition of Super Rod, the March
2006 edition of Hot Rod Magazine, has been on ESPN 2 several times and
won numerous awards.
